You don't have to like him to appreciate the merits of some of his music. I mean, I personally have wished for death and all sorts of plague upon the man, but I still listen to his albums.

He means that Kanye is an ass, and should probably be shot, but his music can be quite good.

I know Kanye has associated himself with white people, but I still get the feelin he aint really feelin us, you only gotta hear some of his lyrics, digs at your president and his videos to see what I mean. His music is off the hook though.

I bought Late Registration because I liked "Gold Digger". Then, Brett told me Kanye had a song on there with Adam Levine. Which made me want to get the CD even more.

Before I saw the video for "Gold Digger" my brother David was all, "You do know that that's Jamie Foxx singing backup, right?" I'm not a Jamie Foxx fan at all. Especially after seeing him at The Rumjungle in Vegas in 2000. He's quite the asshole. (lb)

there are ALOT of Gold Diggers out there....the fact that he made a song even loosley based on them deserves kudos from most. He didnt get into enough detail with it...the 3rd verse of Gold Digger is pretty slick

Actually, he said Bush doesn't care about black people, which is only somewhat true. Bush doesn't seem to care about anyone except his small group of cronies.

And Golddigger is a pretty sweet song.

Including those two songs, there are maybe 6 tracks on LR worth hearing, IMO.

Thing is, with a Kanye record, you can only get about a week's listen out of it before it becomes tiresome and repetitive. The only hip-hop album that sounds fresh with every listen this year is Edan's Beauty And The Beat, in my opinion.

She's one of his cronies. I don't agree with Kanye that he doesn't care about just black people. I don't think he really cares about anyone except for his insulated little group.
