When you really think about it, and that means all those times you had to accept that other people wouldn't like some of the B-Boys lyrics because they'd be a little corny perhaps....... you have to accept that Get it Together is undoubtedly their finest hip-hop track.

Best beat, best rhymes, no corn. ;)

get it together.....when they do that live without Q-Tip...do they just continue w/o his part?

Also what is known to be said instead of , "she's the cheese and im the macaroni? (consider no Ione?)

They either have somone else doing it or they play an acapella of his part.

I tried to get them to let me rap Q-tip's part at the Detroit show....I did my best version of Get it Together for the old roving camera. Appearently they weren't feeling it!!! Oh well, Yauch came back onstage and gave me a shout out..or "point out" rather, so it was well worth it!

That song is pretty sweet... it has that rhythm that makes you just want to stop whatever the hell it is your doin' and just chill out...

By the way,"Ma Bell's got the ill communication... who's that?"

Ma bell, was what they used to call the phone company.

Kurtis Blow used it too, in "The Breaks".......here check it out----->

"and Ma bell sent you a whopping bill" (thats the breaks, thats the breaks)

"with 18 phone calls to Brazil" :D

On the live versions I heard (without Q-Tip) - Mike and Yauch sing Q-Tip's parts. According to beastiemania the last time they performed this song was in August 1998 (http://beastiemania.com/gigog/index.php?track=Get%20It%20Together).
I have the recording from around this time and the macaroni part is unchanged. (y)

Hey Midzi...I don't remember ever hearing them do Get It Together without Q-Tip. Can you post a clip/song of that please?
