I'm at $3000 in playpoker.com

Would be higher if I concentrated on 7-card stud, but I've been trying to get into Hold'em.

I was wondering the same thing...and also, I occasionally see home made signs that say "High Stakes Texas Hold 'Em" and what not....how can that be legal?

yeah, i play poker casually with my friends now and then. we play for petty cash (everyone throws in 5 dollars, winner takes it all), so it's not a big deal if you lose, but there's still a big incentive for you to win. i had a pretty impressive standoff with my friend where i tried to bluff him and he spent about 10 minutes trying to get me to tell him if he should call or fold, he was practically pulling his hair out. i lost, but it was worth it just to see him put on that show
