It appears that most of us can tell the difference between our favorite M.C's

HOWEVER!!!!! Is there anyone that is willing to admit that when they 1st started listening to the Beastie Boys, whenever that was?!! ..............

got a bit mixed up between Adrock and Mike D.

This would exclude Yauch, being the obvious differ between the two other siblings. Considering that Adrock and D sometimes do harmony vocals.

If so what verse(s) would you say questioned your BEASTIE-ality??! :p

Man, I totally got mixed up!! I think Adrock and Mike D sound a lot alike on the CD's but if you listen to the records, you can tell them apart because Adrock tends to sound even more nasally.
I couldn't tell if I was listening to Adrock or Alvin from The Chipmunks. :D
(just kidding Adam, you're definitely no chipmunk!!)

It wasn't until I saw the videos that I could tell who was singing what...

I guess it takes a really good ear!

Well yeah of course, I got Mike D and Adrock's voice mixed up alot. They do sound similar, they have that cute high pitched voice and yell out there rhymes. Yauch is easy to tell apart because he talks lower and has a cool, sexy raspy voice if you know what I mean. :cool: But since I've listened to them more I can tell them apart easy. ;)

yeah, when i first started listening to them i thought that mike d was adrock and adrock was mike d :p well, now i know so i dont get them mixed up any more. i was such an idiot!!!! :o (y) (!) :)

I think most people mix up the D and Adrock when they first hear the B-Boys magic, but once you have heard an album a few times over its fairly simple to tell the 2 beasties apart.

Yeah I think everyone got mixed up with Mike and Adrock's voice. I did in Unite, In "Unite" I always thought it was Adrock saying

i always thought ADROCK said,

"im like sam the butcher bringin Alice the meat"......just kiddin!!

i knew that was him......it wasnt until "Shake your Rump" that really helped me differ between the two MASTERS of CEROMONIES.....ooh and the video helped out too!!! :D (y)

That is Mike D , doing the enite "Remote Control" right??
