In this thread, you will give the name of a fairly well-known band that most everyone is familiar with. Then you will give the name of a lesser known (OR an older band that influenced them greatly) but equally worthy band.

e.g.

Like The Clash? Try Stiff Little Fingers.

Like Interpol? Try Joy Division.

I think you get the idea...
