Why did everyone switch to Gmail? Telling everyone your new e-mail address is annoying. I've had the same yahoo address for 6 years. Apart from the business one I have.
I've had others I register just to collect spam cus some you need to put in an e-mail address before they let you view their site or something. Cus they think they are that good. Anyway. Why?

Sometimes my gmail can't connect to my google homepage or google email tool. But it usually comes right back.

Yeah, a mate of mine invited me to gmail, I signed up - but I've never used it...no point, since I use my hotmail account and have been for the past 2-3 years. It'd shit both myself and others to have to announce I have a new address(!)

gmail has lots of whizzbang features you dont get elsewhere.
it compiles all emails with the same heading into on long message board style thread, so much easier for reading through conversations, specially if their group ones.
it has a super dooper search facility
one gig motherfuckers.
plus its not microsoft, which is always nice.

...I'd never had a failed sending before until recently, which is why I thought maybe something was up.

My free account was Juno, but when I got ready to move a few months ago, I figured Google was more stable than Juno. (Juno changes policies ona whim and starts charging for things, etc., so if I was going to have a pretty steady free account, gmail seemed like the smarter choice.)
