When I first saw the Beastie Boys as a kid, I could've swore Adam Horovitz was either Latino or Italian. I mean the way he dresses, dances, and talks, he just comes off as being apart of the Latin persuasion. I mean I knew a lot of chicanos back in texas and being half puerto rican myself, he really seems the part. In fact, I've seen some puerto rican boys that could pass as his brother.
I was just wondering if anyone else here thought Adrock was a spicy, salsa dancing hispanic or pasta eatin', accordion playin' italian... be honest :p

he dresses like everyone else?... ive never seen him dance but the way he talks sounds no where near italian :confused:

i take what i said before back. your right.. i think he is itilian though now cause the shirt he wore before "Mr. Bucatini" thats a italian food.. and in one of the beastie songs he raps about italian food cheeses... and once in a while you can hear that italian in his voice.

Oh, I'm quite aware of what Adrock is... If you'd bother to read my thread, I said "when I first saw Horovitz as a kid"... thus making this as my first impression... as in not knowing anything about Adrock first hand...

I just saw the King Adrock in front of me at the line in the Italian sandwich place in Soho that was perhaps once known as the sandwich nazi. His friend was going to pay for his own sandwich, but then Mr. Horovitz said "No, no, no. You come to me, you come to me."

True, he is half Irish. His mother's last name was Keefe, obviously Irish. But that doesn't mean she's full.

see I never thought of adrock as anything italian or anything other then jewish. I live in new york and he just looks like a hot jewish guy from ny to me.

I know what you mean, DD... When I first saw the King Adrock, it reminded me a lot (specially when he laughted) to Robert de Niro... and he isn't italian, he's also half irish, and born new yorker, but his father (as long as I know), was italian... Horovitz has a little "italiano" thing going on... I see it, too. Not latin, though (I'm argentinian...) I don't see that, sorry...

He does seem Italian in some way. In the Hey Ladies video, at the part where he says "I'm tellin her every lie that you know I never did" he looks Italian to me. Maybe just because he's eating pizza. And also, when he has the longer hair, like in Gratitude, he looks a lil.
