any clue whats wrong with my heart?

my hearts having spasms or something!
my heart suddenly starts beating as if it wasent beating the whole time before, it pulses really harshly like if it would burst out of my chest but it only happens for 2 seconds and then stops, like.. i dont know if you care for a exp. but it like stops for a second, making me pay attention and when i do, it suddenly does some weird spasm and starts beating really fast for a couple of seconds and then goes back to normal. haha it sounds like my heart is trying to kill me. but it does it agian at the most random times but never in the same day/month
anyone have any clue what it means ? i know none of you are doctors. but im too lazy to go to the doctor - haha i sound like my dad there, now watch me die from being like him

First: Are you taking any medications or illegal drugs?

Second: how often is this happening?

Third: do you have shortness of breath and a feeling of anxiety when this happens?

Fourth: 911. it's this number that people call for medical emergencies. you might consider it if your heart stops beating in the near future. it's only three short numbers so you might actually be able to dial it before you black out.

friend has the same thing happen to her every once in a while. i don't think the doctors really knew what was going on. it was a few years ago, though, so maybe things have changed as to the diagnosis.

do not in anyway discourage this person form going to the doctor. they need to be seen.

what he/she is expereincing could be a heart palpatation or possibly arethmia. They definently need to run some tests and look into it, even if he/she doesn't get a quick diagnosis.


Heart problems are nothing to pussy foot around with. A friend of mine died form heart complications at the age of 23. HE refused to go to the doctor even though he was in severe pain. 24 hours later when a friend finally dragged him to the ER, the ruptured lining of his heart caused an embalism that killed him instantly...just as they were about to admit him for testing.

no but by saying that the doctors didn't know what was wrong with your friend-implys that they won't/might not be able to figure our what is wrong with her.


I'm just sensative. I was one of the people that tried to get my friend who died to go to the hospital. he refused my proding saying---I was at the doctors yesterday and they don't know what wrong with me. I wanted him to get a second opinion but he was convinced that no one could help him. :(

Don't feel embarrassed to get checked out by paramedics, if necessary just to make sure you're ok. I hate going to doctors too - but sometimes you just gotta go and get a check up. (y)
