Traditional dutch food is mostly cabbages and potatoes.

Oh, I wasn't talking tradition. Although the Dutch restaurants I went to all served excellent sauteed potatoes and red cabbage (not together).

In that case I can reccomend a couple of chinese and thai restaurants in the chinese district on the edge of the red light district.

I guess I should have read the whole post. It's a fair point, my girlfriend always looks at me funny when I eat anything like that....but especially herringsalad (possibly cos it's purple)

I've never ate herring in my whole life. and i'm pretty much dutch. i think i wouldn't like it either.
stroopwafels are too nice tho..
