Conservative movement indeed. I care little for either party, but it is pretty clear that the Republicans, when handed a chance to shine, have clearly careened down a path of corruption and incompetence to their own doom.

The chief of staff to Colin Powell, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, has just published a scathing attack (http://news.ft.com/cms/s/afdb7b0c-40f3-11da-b3f9-00000e2511c8.html) on the Bush administration's foreign policy, claiming that Cheney and Rumsfeld hijacked the process and made critical decisions in secret

Actually it makes sense if you look at it. It cut and pasted kind of skewed.
In a nutshell, public support for the parties has significantly changed over the last 3 years.
