I was listening to that album just 2 weeks ago. I keep it in rotation. Solid LP.

Not a fan. Whats up with all the yelling, interupting and such? Onyx was a novelty act that no one cared about.

On a side note... One of the members was busted this week for keeping a handgun in his hotel room. What a genius.

but seriously the first three albums are top notch...

Bacdafucup got that grimy, street hype...
All We Got iz Us is like a dark, evil sounding album,
and Shut Em Down was a nice album with a good balance of dark evil and grimy street hype, and was definitely a more coherent album all the way through... sounded alot more professional...

after that tho... they fell off something awful...

Bacdafucup 2... hahaha... what a joke of an album...

I've been meaning to give this album a listen. Heard it was their best. I kinda like Bacdafucup, despite it not being "cool" according to rap nerds today.

youd think half of these Beastie Boys penis tuggers would like Onyx considering they were proteges of Jam Master Jay and he produced half the tracks on Bacdafucup. That right there is Six Degrees of Michael Diamond that gives Onyx an edge amongst Beastie pube collectors.


Onyx is grimey. that JonKarson dude pretty much said what I would up thurr ^.

Is it just me or does Lil' John's style totally derive from this group?? Onyx was way cooler than Lil John could ever hope to be. Fuck that nerd
