that's one thing i've recently noticed about college; you don't see many goths. you see them for maybe a few weeks at the beginning of the year, then they realize that nobody cares, and they give up. in high school, they do it because they get a reaction from it, their goth friends like them, and everyone else hates them, and they enjoy the attention, so they keep doing it, or something. but then they get to college, and nobody cares anymore, either way. the most they'll get is maybe a few snickers as people walk by, or an odd look or two, but that's it, then they get bored and quit. it's kind of nice.

it's just so much work. i've been to a few shows that a bunch of goths have attended, and every time i've heard at least one group talking about how much time it took them to get ready. hair = at least two hours.

What they all have in common is that they all annoy the shit outta me. So many people in these groups trying so hard to be different, yet they're all the same! The idiots on St. Marks' Place make me laugh.... these 'out-there' looks were crazy back when nobody had seem them before. I know its not the same thing but punks are similar.
