Hey folks,

Fancy reading the opinions of a British music-nerd kid? No? Didn't think so.

If, however, you're crazy and you do want to, then check out my review of the new greatest hits album over at my music blog (http://jonathan-d.blogspot.com/2005/10/album-review-beastie-boys-solid-gold.html).

Cheers!

What's to review? Everything has been released already? Why not write a review on the wheel? It's round and useful and when combined with a barrow you can excavate and transport like never before.

Well exactly, that's what I thought, but the website I write for assigned it to me, so I just did what I was told! :p

But I did think of that, and took it into account when writing the review. There's no need for me to describe every song - everyone knows what BB sound like! (Or at least they should...)

ahhh the wheel. i was skeptical at first. i mean, i already have 2 feet, how can a wheel help? that was until i took it out on my foot path. it can turn on a dime, and if you combine it with a few household items, you can practically create anything!!!

yes, my prediction is that the wheel will eventually be a big hit. come back next week to read my disappointing review of fire.

I already can sum up all the reviews..all will say something like this..

"The Beastie Boys just released a complilation of their best hits titled "solid gold hits". Shouldnt they be called Beastie 'Men' now instead of 'Boys'?

Perhaps it's a cultural thing, but I can't see Triple Trouble as either "dismal" or "frat rap."

I can understand that some people don't love the song (I do love it myself), but it's relentlessly upbeat. In fact, Triple Trouble is one giant dance party. Maybe you just didn't like the fake British accent.

Anyhow, it's a thankless task reviewing a greatest hits package, so you get a pass this time. :)

It's neither a contract-fulfilling release nor a duplication of the anthology.

its not contract fulfilling but it is soley to keep the record company happy

i still like the whole idea tho.........

Triple Trouble is not dismal. At all. Nor is it frat rap. BL.

Triple Trouble is wack....

Didn't Madonna rhyme hot day with Latte?
Rappers Delight is the Stairway to Heaven of Hip Hop; the Beastie's lifting it jsut doesn't work.
