Seriously though, it sounds very boring, but before I did anything 'fun', I would sort some shit out with my accountant. I have a sister who is disabled and will need some form of lifetime care, ageing parents who, you never know, may need long-term care in the not too distant future, and a nwphew with Aspergers who requires special schooling. Oh and a baby on the way that I presume may want to go to university some day. And, we're carrying two mortgages.

So I would get my shit sorted basically, so that the big things on the horizon are things I can be assured are handled.

Then, I'd buy lots and lots of shoes. And handbags.

If it was a lot of money, I would give $10,000 to each of my close friends and to a couple of my family members. And quit my job of course. (y)

Oh, I would also call some cop buddies to protect me and my ticket till I could turn it in. I have a whole plan, even though I don't play the lottery.

Seriously - for the protection of my family, I wouldn't disclose my name to the public and would remain anonymous for sure ! Why the hell paint a "bullseye" on yourself and your family for all the "crackhead-public" to see ? I would opt. for the lump sum "after taxes" to be deposited into my bank account. first thing i'd do is pay off any debts mum has, and give her some money to go spoil herself, might buy my bro and sis something awesome and to me:

Depends on how much. If it was copious, then I would keep maybe 2 million and give the rest away. With the 2 million I'd buy a average house in a nice area for around $500,000. Then I would buy a car and a plasma tv and pool table and shit. Then probably I'd buy equipment to make a small recording studio in my house. I'd get some pro guitar lessons with an awesome teacher and then I'd help my parents out because they've been in debt for like 10 years.

i bought my $40 mill ticket yesterday...and i'm going to win for sure.

first, i'd take care of my family, then i'll be going on a concert tour (i'd rent a deadly bus) with my friends to see the beasties, Wu Tang, J5, and whoever else we want. build a chalet at a mountain (with a miniramp in it) so i can ride and skate all the time. do some travelling. i'd invest a bunch so i'd never have to work again. there'd be so much more that i justcan't think of at the moment.

hmmmm depending on how much it would be ...

I always wondered how much it would be to run a radio station, and if the prize money was enough that the interest of a part of it resting in the bank could finance keeping a radio station going, I would have a commercial free radio station that played good stuff and see if I couldn't start a trend with millionaires around the country to do the same in their areas. I think that would be cool; not sure how long it would last or be successful, but worth a shot. others :

pay off school bills

buy a house and a decent amount of land around it, the house would be all innovative and stuff - a water resevoir to capture rain for use, water recyling unit that takes the water from the laundry and shower and cleans it a bit to use for the toilet, no pool but perhaps a jecuzzi, movie theatre, nice kitchen, and nice bathroom and bed for me and the wife

donate to MCC.org, I trust them with good use of money to help others out, and donate some to Habitat and go on a global village trip - perhaps several global village trips

help local farmers out so they don't have to farm corporately and suck the land dry trying to get high yields and loose all of that topsoil and pollute with all those insecticide chemicals and stuff. Don't think they would accept my "help", but worth a try.

offer to replace 10,000 polluting vehicles with hybrids - selecting people who seem like they could use the help and cover their insurance for a couple of years too

help out family members

pimp out a computer for myself, scsi disks, dual processors, graphics, nerd stuff

throw big ass parties

invest, buy some yen, some euro, gold, water

travel, travel, travel
