Ok, for real...

Iron Man - Black Sabbath

Songs like Evil Woman, Paranoid, Children Of The Grave and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are probably a little more to the point, but Iron Man just sounds evil.

the instrumental for "LA Dream Team is in the HOUSE" always reminds me of Halloween. Not sure why.

"Delia's Gone" by Johnny Cash

Delia, oh, Delia Delia all my life
If I hadn't have shot poor
Delia I'd have had her for my wife
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

I went up to Memphis
And I met Delia there Found her in her parlor
And I tied to her chair
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

She was low down and trifling
And she was cold and mean
Kind of evil make me want to Grab my sub machine
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

First time I shot her I shot her in the side
Hard to watch her suffer
But with the second shot she died
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

But jailer, oh, jailer Jailer,
I can't sleep 'Cause all around my bedside
I hear the patter of Delia's feet
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

So if you woman's devilish
You can let her run
Or you can bring her down and do her
Like Delia got done
Delia's gone, one more round Delia's gone

oh and maybe throw in "The Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden

:D

I would have add sabbath's "the wizard"

and Danzig also has plenty of satanic fodder for the witching hour. Muahahahaha!

and "pet cemetary" that the Ramones did for the movie sound track.

in a straight up comparison to "nightmare on my street" regardless of the other gems "then she bit me" takes my cake anyways

debating the merits of various DJ jazzy jeff & the fresh prince on the internet rules by the way.

For real though, I grew up (late 70s) listening to this album during Halloween: Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House (http://www.endlessgroove.com/issue2/horrorsfx.htm) (scroll down).

ok my halloween mix brought the muthafukkin house down tonight

"then she bit me" and "nightmare on my street" made people get down equally
but definately not as much as when "the reverand" was played on my non halloween mix later in the evening

I have never heard so many people sing along to "clap for the wolfman" in my life and Im pretty sure I can die happy now

I got a pulsating boner each time someone walked by and said "I heard you were nominated computer DJ tonight.........fuckin awesome stuff, so fucking awesome!!!" or some variation of that statement

:o

*note to self*
do not go out in boonies with a group of people to shoot off a large amount of fireworks + to burn a couch and mattress when half of said group are high on non-quality controlled shrooms
and also dont take cover in pickup truck which contains 4 somewhat full jerrycans of gasoline in the back

They don't have much to do with death or evil as far as I can see, but

Mad Lucas - The Breeders
Silver - Pixies

are ghostly and weird-sounding, I think.
