who in their right minds?

movie executives who's job is to make successful movies, that's who! i mean, yeah, i think it looks shit, but its not shocking and/or surprising that some one is making this at all, he's the biggest rapper on the planet right now.

what IS shocking is that its being directed by jim sheridan. i don't know what he's thinking.....

Jim Sheridan is an awesome director. It's definitely not going to be another 8 Mile. I'm sure the movie will probably be quite good. And I agree 100% with what roosta replied with.

yeah but who wants to pay money - and movies ain't cheap - to have to look at a guy that butt-ugly for like an hour and half? They'd have to pay me.

haha! at least it won't be wasting space in a theater around here!
arkansas is cool for having faggot rednecks who get ridiculously mad if we have movies like that around here.. that tupac movie from a while back wasn't released to a theater within 4 hours of here.

I don't understand what it is with some younger people and the way they a) actually get emotional over shit like this and b) don't seem to be able to think subjectively. I'm sure a lot of people were wondering why anyone would want to watch a documentary on a metal band that's obviously way past their prime when Some Kind Of Monster was released, too.

hey that was a documentary - not a "hey, i'm the biggest (and shittest) rapper out, hey, yeah now i need to be in a movie about me and i should be the main actor cause i'm a fucking bad ass" and what? he has a game out? dissapointing.

i don't get 'actually' emotional over shit like this. it just confuses me; as to why someone woke up and thought "shit! let's make a 50 cent movie! if we don't anytime soon, he'll write shitty diss rhymes about us OH NOEZ!"

Some Kind of Monster was pretty good, the ending concert was great. I think Metallica deserves a video game over 50

they kinda have one. it's not based on them - it's like one of those car killer games; vigilante 8 + twisted metal. the only involvement with metallica is the soundtrack of the game is just metallica songs; live and studio and covers i think.

ps. i dunno if it's come out yet, or just been flopped.

How do you know they are "so called songs" if you've never heard one?

That's kinda like someone with colour blindness saying "Well, to tell the truth, Jim, I always thought the colour red was overrated".

they probably thought "if i make a movie about a popular rapper people will pay money to see it and i will make money"

There was a thread that stated the 50 cent video game was going to be the best ever. It might have decent graphics of 50 totin' a gun but that's all and it won't be the best. Just like the movie. Did 50 wake up one day and acting skills were embedded in his brain like they do in the Matrix? That's why the movie will just another rags to riches pile of crap.
