Wed Nov 02 2005 10:58:31 ET

ROUNDTABLE INTERVIEW OF THE PRESIDENT
WITH FOREIGN PRINT MEDIA
The Roosevelt Room
November 1, 2005

With that, we'll start. Jorge, como yo.

Q Mr. President, in Argentina, you will have a bilateral meeting with President Kirchner.

THE PRESIDENT: Si.

Q What I want to know -- sources of the government told me that they would ask you about more cooperation on support for Argentina, you know, in the IMF fund --

THE PRESIDENT: IMF.

Q Exactly.

THE PRESIDENT: Please don't tell me that the government leaks secrets about conversations to the --

Q Well, I have my sources in the government.

THE PRESIDENT: You do? Okay, well I'm not going to ask you who they are, of course. (Laughter.)

Q No, please.

THE PRESIDENT: Inside joke here, for my team. (Laughter.)

i guess it's a jibe at the fact rove and cheney leaked the information about the secret agent.

but again, no source and little context makes me not give a fuck.

Yeah, I picked up on how it was supposed to be about the leaks, but uh, I don't get it. I hate seeing (Laughter) in conversations, because I think, what the fuck man? Don't laugh at stuff that's not funny.

And I don't mean not funny as in the "tasteless" sorta way. I mean not funny as in having no humor. Like Laura Bush saying that she and Lynne Cheney watch Desperate Housewives. People laughed at that. WHY IS THAT FUNNY?

Yeah, Bush doesn't do anything wrong. The "liberal media" just likes to make stuff up about what he says.....

you obviously don't know who you're talking to, i think bush is the most vile human being on the planet.
but i'd rather judge him on things i know to be true and can be backed up. drudge is on the same level of creature in my opinion anyways.

Joking about a treasonous act isn't funny coming from our, pause for revulsion, president. I think Drudge posted it to show how precious little Bush cares about public opinion and how (some) conservatives consider that smugness to be a show of strength.

you're missing the point, seeing as it hasn't been backed up from the original source yet, i don't belive it.

Well, if it isn't true, I wonder why the hell Drudge posted it then seeing as he's an unabashed conservative cheerleader and all.
