in college, I knew some people who used to drink whole bottles of robutussin and they called it "robo-tripping". nerds.

I like the taste of dimetapp, but I never got wasted on it.

yeah my buddies and I used to walk into Krogers and we'd all have two bottles of Robotussin going to the check out counter and we'd all have fake coughs. Damn the strange looks they gave us.

I think all of the cough medicines got rid of the shit that got you high. It was something like dextra hydo morphine which is a synthetic form of morphine. They still do have the alcohol content though.

Let's just say I've been doin' it until I became 18...but I must admit, sometimes when I get a cold I'm tempted!! Now I just drink alcohol like everyone else...but only when I've had a real shitty day.

And just for the record, I wouldn't chug down a whole bottle of Dimetap or Benadryl... for example, if I was supposed to take 2 tablespoons every 4 hours (like it says on the label) I'd take like 4 tablespoons every 2 hours even if I wasn't sick...just needing to relax

A lot of times I'd take cough medicine, especially the NyQuil, just to get to sleep if I was too wired from the day... Do you know how hard it is to get to sleep when you're really young or really busy as a teenager?

So yeah I abused it, but I didn't ABUSE it ;)

But wasn't the strawberry antibiotics syrup you got as a kid the best!
