There's two types of Christians.
1) Those who truly believe in Jesus, and practice what they believe in. They believe in doing good in this world, helping others, those in poverty and need extra help, being good people.
2) Those who truly believe in Jesus, so therefore don't need to follow anything he preaches because they're covered in the next life by simply believing in him. They believe that killing others is fine as long as it's justified, and that people in poverty need to "get some jobs" and not get handouts from the government. Being hypocritical bastards is okay, as long as you go to church God will forgive you.
I know quite a few #1's, but I run into #2's more frequently because they're louder and more obnoxious and therefore are paid attention to more.

I was actually quite "proud" of FOX (if you can ever be proud of FOX) for basically editing the show to make the stereotypical "kooky family" look like the sane ones, and the crazy bitch look as crazy as she most likely is. I loved the background music whenever the nut started talking...all dark and ominous.
