if you like listening to other people playing records in an appealing order then please check out the following...

firstly. matt groening, creator of futurama, recently played some records on a british radio show called the breezeblock. most breezeblock mixes are available through file sharing programs. the tracklisting is:

The Boredoms - 'Super Good'
Daniel Johnston - 'Syrup of Tears'
Magic Band - 'Big Eyed Beans'
Frank Zappa - 'Holiday in Berlin Full Blown'
Iggy and the Stooges - 'Gimme Danger'
Electrelane - 'Gone Darker'
Patti Smith - 'Piss Factory'
The Fall - 'Two Librans'
Cornelius - 'Bug'
White Magic - 'One Note'
Nick Cave - 'Hiding All Away'
Can - 'Turtles Have Short Legs'
Slint - 'Washer'

secondly. i have recently been enjoying 'fabriclive 24' mixed by diplo. fabric is london's top club and they release a mix cd every month. people as varied as john peel, swayzak, and death in vegas have done them. this diplo one is pretty special though. the rather tasty tracklisting is:

1. Luv 4 The World (Why They Gotta Hate) - Plantlife
2. Turnin' Me On - Nina Sky
3. My Chrome - Killer Mike & Big Boi
4. Clear - Cybotron
5. Don't Go - Yazoo
6. When I Hear Music - Deb, Debbie
7. Don't Stop The Rock - Freestyle
8. Al Naafiysh - Hashim
9. Nightdrive - Model 500
10. Windowlicker - Aphex Twin
11. Percolator - Cajmere
12. This Is Sick - Solid Groove
13. Love Guide - Two Culture Clash
14. What's Your Fantasy - Ludacris & Shawnna
15. Percao - Diplo & Pantera Os Danadinhos
16. Vem Cristiano - Gaiola Das Popozudas
17. Cria Asa Periquita - MC Biro Leyby
18. O Darcy - Gaiola Das Popozudas
19. Way More - Diplo
20. Bucky Done Gun - MIA (2)
21. Destruction VIP - Jammer
22. Love Song - Cure
23. BOB - Outkast
24. Deceptacon - Le Tigre
25. Hurricane - DJ Nasty
26. Freaks - DJ Deeon
27. Notorious - Turbulence (1)
28. Free - Cat Power

sorry about the different formats for the tracklistings. was too much effort to type it all out.

i found that matt groening (http://themixingbowl.org/download.php/6527/Breezeblock.25.10.2005.Matt_Groening.torrent) set at the mixing bowl. curious to see how it comes together. thanks.

i'm not sure if you've spent much time over there, but if you haven't -- give it a go. lots of EM, breezeblock, solid steel, triple j, blue room, 1xtra, 1world mixes to be had. i've gotten 20+ gigs from there over the last few months. 80% of it is worth keeping.

The Diplo mix is really great and what I heard of the Groening thing was cool. I think the best ever Breezeblock mix was the John Tejada and the worst surely our very own Beastie Boys.

I always miss breezeblock. Haven't listened to it in years. I never thought of using file-share to download some. I can be slow sometimes.

Any other good ones to download? I've queued Mighty Boosh aswell just because I'm interested. Not too bothered about what track listings but like hearing good sets!

I've also queued Mix Master Mike aswell as the above already suggested...

Or, if I can be cheeky for a minute & if anyone wants to be so kind to offer me a data CD/DVD in exchange for anything I might have, I'm welcome to trade a DVD or two of stuff... :D

I downloaded it just to find out. I'm listening to it now. Man, it is poor.

Thegoodmrbrodie put the BS2000 one a CD for me years ago which wasn't too bad but not too great either. The Beastie Boys one even though I have 115 GB to spare is not worth the 80MB it takes up. It's has since been deleted! :D

Z-Trip and DJ P at Groovetech 12-07-2000

The All Tomorrow's Parties 2003 set that Radio 1 had a couple years back. Not into the Venetian Snares but Aphex Twin and Stingray (of Drexciya) tore it up.

Any Bad Company set without a toaster (except maybe Skibadee) are nice.

Hmmm, loads more but I'm at a loss at the moment.

I'm loving the Propellerheads one. Best one so far I've heard.
