There's one important thing you should know about the Japanese version of SGH: it's been produced with the new copy-controlling system CDS300. This system makes it almost impossible to convert to other formats because most CR-ROM drives don't recognize the CD as a music disc. It's a bitch because it means Japanese fans cannot easily put the music they buy on their iPods or mp3 players nor play the discs on their computers.

I, however, have a hotshot Japanese friend who cracked the CDS300 system. In an effort to impress me with his technical skills and show his superiority over me, he delivered a high-quality .wav file of RRNN to my inbox. I acted blasé about it to him, but I was, in fact, very impressed because other friends tried to crack the system but failed miserably.

Anyhoo...be aware that you might experience some problems with the Japanese version of SGH.

Whats the track like ? Any good ?

I bet it was cracked the day it hit the stores. It always is.

He probably didn't "crack" it as such, just line-in sample it.

That's the thing that's so stupid about all these labels trying to copy protect CDs. As it stands all that needs to be done is for someone to record it using a line in and it totally cuts out any protection. If you use digital/optical line in the quality should be perfect too.

That's a last resort though, I'm pretty sure that there are other ways. If not now, soon.
