avery is a great name. I've tossed it around as a possible name for a future offspring.

i have nothing else to add to this.

It's not like I named her!

Well, I actually wanted to name my daughter Avery, too, but my suggestions continually got shot down. I got the first two letters, at least.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling like your getting old. I mean, I'm not. I'm only 26. But, my 10 year class reunion is coming up, I worry about having good benefits, I worry about interest rates, and a man almost 40 years old asked me out...and there was really nothing wrong with it because I'm considered a woman, not a girl anymore. Man, time goes by so damn quickly!

mr.peachy and I have been talking about names lately. So far what we've decided is if it's a boy we'll call it Hercules Bonaparte, and if it's a girl, Cleopatra Pocahontas.

Now you have some healthy competition to see who raises a better daughter. I think placing some unneccessary pressure on the child in order to maintain your own ego would be good for her.

I already bet him that my daughter will be walking before his. I threw out a little harmless trash talk also. I was like, "I saw a picture of y'all'z game on a milk carton, bitches!"

They named her Avery.

I can't believe we're dads/so friggin' old.

That's the name of my cousin's baby that was born last September.

My guy friend who's in Iraq right now was able to get time off for his baby being born October 28. Her name is Rachel. And then they shipped him right back overseas, and he won't see her again until she's 8 months old. He's 22 like me. It makes me feel weird to know he's married and has a baby. :-/

Avril?
Damn, you're good.

Sorry about your friend. I'd personally rather just flee to Canada if I was gonna get shipped off and end up missing the next 8 months or more of my daughter's life. You can kill that noise, dun-dun.
