i know part of an american band's evolution...as they get older (in every sense of the word)...is that they start to cater to other countries.....for instance, when KISS fell off in the early 80's they would still sell out shows overseas....they're still huge in some foreign countries....anway, i'm starting to see this with the beasties.....other countries get the cd/dvd first, they get the extra b*sides on their releases, they even get different singles and videos....i hope they still realize they're still wanted in the US......that's it!

(y) i can see your point. i wonder if the foreign countries seem to grab the attention of the band (any band)...in a much more of a greater impact because its not everyday that an Amercian group can come out to their(the fans) country. Also maybe the foreign radio stations, t.v. stations pay more time and $$$ towards that band. i think America has so many diverse rich music that WE sometimes take it for granted, or not ....or maybe even the media.
Does that nessasarily mean that we (America) have better musians or music? I remember seeing the same scenerio with Michael JAckson towards the end of his career. He was more popular and accepted in foreign land.

You do have a point CJ, but at the same time the Beasties have always equally promoted their stuff in each country. I remember reading an interview about this in fact....the boys said they thought it was unfair how other countries (outside the US) don't get the same promotion as we do in the states. So I think this is all just a case of the Beasties being fair...

Once again, truth to cj hood. But it's nice for us down under to be on a level playing field too.
