the bear on my front porch

so i wake up at 3 am,hearing some stange sound,i though it was my puppie,so chek downstair,well asleep.then the noise came from the front door,i crack the door,see a garbage bag ripped open.then no more noise,get out a little bit much,the sort of growling start again,first i though a dog but i had great doubts,the noise was too deep and strong.finaly,the bear come out in the light,damn he was nice ,big.So i make noise to scare him away,it works.Go back to sleep, a little bit on the rush,but manage to go to sleep.half a hour later,the noise came back,i look at my window, that view the front door.big fat papa (mama)bear is there he ripped the pannel of our garbage bine(plywood). strong bear.so i go down stair to scare him,,no way he stay there and ripped garbages bags.This morning big cleaning,garbages all over.papa bear did not eat potatoe skin or old orange,nop he did go for the icecream bucket and yogourt.i try to take a picture but,my flash on my digital was not big enought.
althought i find it scary,at the same time its really fucking nice to see a bear that close!

anyway did some of you have any encounter with wildlife?

I went camping once and in the middle of the night our site got ransacked by a bunch of raccoons because my Wife's tree huggin' bitch of a friend didn't throw out her half eaten can of meatless pork and beans.

lets see. when i lived on my farm, a black bear was living in our field, i would always find where it slept by the 10 foot circle of flattened grass.

i met a deer that stood it's ground one day. that was something else.

when i was a little kid camping in yosemite with my fam (like steg and i are about to do this weekend), a bear broke into the car next to my mom and dad's and stole:
pickles
marshmallows
bubblegum
and a towel.

you should go to the curry village area and ask for doughboy or josh, josh being my brother and doughboy being a friend of mine. they live by the horse stables (which are known for being one of the best in animal care).

be sure to hike up to little yosemite valley if the trail is open. if highway 120 is open be sure to head to http://www.yosemitefun.com/tuolumne_meadows.htm for the day

you don't need to tell me where to go/what to do in yosemite, man. i know. i've been going there my whole life. my great uncle is a volunteer ranger there - Jack - and he's been there for years and years. gotten written up in a few books about the place, actually. but trust me, i'm good ;)

i'm not much of a hiker. my mom is, and she's been backpacking everywhere, including little yosemite valley. but in any case, it's going to be in the fucking teens there this weekend, and i'm not about to go backpacking in the high sierra then.

i doubt we'll head up to tuolumne this time. we've spent many a family reunion there. we just won't be there for long enough this time, and it might not even be open - i think some storms were predicted for this last weekend? not sure. i'd like to have my honeymoon there though. probably one of the most serene, beautiful places on earth.

i know about bear ,what to do or not!
My garbages where inside a large bin with a top and everything,i guess the bear was just fucking hungry before is winter nap,no more fruits in trees.The thing too is that a live deep in the wood,i am kind of in their habitat ,so to encounter them,its kinda normal.
i also have a female deer with her two bambi who hang out around our acreage!
anyway i learn that he ripped too ,the garbage of our neibhour that was in his pick up with a cab over the box.that bear is wise.
i guess that we gonna have to call the warden if the experience repeat,but usually they go on with their life!

they dont fuck around in BC you should know that
one complaint and they shoot the bear, its a done deal
you shouldnt have your garbage outside and if you do its fucking gay if you go calling the warden because a bear has fucked with it, boo fucking hoo
store it better and you wouldnt have a problem
in my neck of the woods you are only allowed to lay out your garbage a half hour before pickup if you are not in the immediate city suburbs
