but I keep my mouth shut and follow my boss's instructions and then it all blows up in my face.
here i am taking abuse at another job. that's the whole reason I left my last job, I was tired of being yelled at. and here I am again, being yelled at by an outside party for doing what I was asked to do.
My idiot boss decided he wanted to throw a surprise party for a clients birthday and he asked me to plan it with another client who is the son of the client who is haivng the birthday. Well, I kept thinking, ya know maybe everyone in the family isn't going to like this., but since we were working with her son on it I though ok, well he'll clear it with the family. and apparently he didn't because i just got a call fro a livid family member who is upset over everything, the date, the time, the invatations I did, everything. :( (I shouldn't take it personally, but damn it I know there is nothgin wrong with my invites, I'm a professional party planner and they were very tasteful.)
it's not my fault, I know it's not my fault...but I had a feeling that someone in the family was going to get upset (mainly because they didn't think of throwing a party and they are glory seeking jerks) and I probably should have said something.
it wouldn't be a big deal except this kind of thing seems to happen all the time around here. the boss says one thing and do it this way and then someone gets upset and blows up at me. I don't know if it's just that my boss doesn't commincate well and gives one person one story and me another, or what. I've already established that my boss is an idiot, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
but god damn it I don't want to do another god damn thing for this party. it's obviously not appriciated and creating a huge family fight. fiasco.
:( god damn it. I can't leave this job right now. it's really not plausible. :(
