school is taking over my life

for real.
i'm at school from 9 till 3. I've almost every day a test and do about 3 hours or longer a day homework. in the weekends sometimes even a whole day so i can get my homework done for the rest of the week.
so 6 of 7 days of the week are spend on school, in my upinion that is a bit too much. but i need to say i'm doing the highest education of high school there is in holland (we have 3 levels and we had to choose 1 package of subjects out of 4. i'm doing the hardest level and have 2 extra subjects and choose the considerd hardest package)
I think that it is what takes all my time but the thing i want to know how it is/was at your school..

I do the 11-6:30 thing right now, twice a week, and another 3 hours on another day. The other days are spent at work.

It'll be better soon. You won't be in school forever. Granted, you'll then have a job, which for me is basically school only you have time to yourself after you get outta there for the day.

It takes up quite a bit of my time, and the courses are demanding. But it's worth every second and every cent.

My uni hours are very easy. This semester it was 2 X 2hour days, and 2 X 5 hour days. I work on Fridays, saturdays and sundays though.

I don't know. I've got basically the same hours (hour more, but hey, that's nothing) and don't find it that bad. I've got a nearly two hour trip to and from school, as well. I think it's made bearable by the fact that, hopefully, my performance in school could get me to where I want to be- I'm more focused on the future than the present.

Not that school doesn't suck.

Enjoy school while you can. No clients to deal with, no working till midnight to try and fit a week's worth of work into a day and do it accurately all the time knowing the client could say "I don't like it do it again."

You get to spend all your time learning new stuff with your life ahead of you - a blank canvas, with no bills to pay, no worrying about how to keep a roof over your head.

I spent my time in school dodging study to......to....um......do......well I'll be damned if I can remember but I'm sure it was worth pushing my future into second place for. :eek:

Enjoy school. Revel in it. You won't know the meaning of the words 'taking over my life' until you go out and start working for a living. feeling your spirit crushed just that little more every single day of your life unless you were smart enough to know what you wanted to do with your life and pushed all else to the side when you were at school.

i usually have about 4 hours in the morning of class, and 2-3 hours at night of class or practice.

so between 12 and 5 when i have free, i generally spend them doing homework. especially on mon-wed when everything is due. so basically mon, tues, and wed are blocked up until at least 9, and then thursday and friday are my days where i should do work so that the next week is easier, but i never do because i am too tired from the beginning of the week
