Kid Presentable

For some reason or another I've always been a massive Prince Paul fan. He's quite nutty for a producer, and does a decent job of conveying that in his beats. And a lot of them are ill, too.
So I bought this collection 'Hip-Hop Gold Dust' and I'm quite impressed.
Paul does a little blurb for each track. The opener is from '81, called the 'Soul Brothers Intro' and is an old 808 clap ya hands thing. Then is an unreleased De La track called 'My Mindstate', and it's so absurd especially given it's history. While they were recording 'Buhloone' they had a problem at Tommy Boy with bootleggers, so the group started recording a fake album for the label to hear. Tommy Boy really liked this; it's Dave and Pos saying "The sheets been stained with the ocean" and "went on the blind date, she was a fat shit" and other craziness over a very creepy beat. Awesome.
There's a track with Dres which was the only release on PP's vanity label in 91, and a real loved up instrumental called 'Sucker for Love' among others up next.
And of course, that AIDS joint that Biz and Chubb Rock did with Paul in 96. I had this on America Is Dying Slowly when I was in High School, and always loved it. It's nice to have it back, when I first heard Intergalactic I though of the beat behind this track; and I love the Jingle Bells piano loop.
I don't wanna spoil too much more (I'm the only cat that'll read this prolly) but there's a very ATCQ Justin Warfield track, a track with Big Sha ( from Prince among Thieves fame) and some very nice outtakes from Nigga Mortis, the biggest treat of which is a remix of 1800-Suicide fliped by RZA and overseen by The Undertaker which blew me away. Not one for the haters though. There's an alternate verse for RZA on Constant Elevation as well.
I don't think this is a review as much as it's nerdy fan boy obsessiveness, so thanks for reading. I hope you all get a chance to hear these tracks which thinking about it now, I realise many of you may already have. :D
edit: too many edits, just woke up.
