Don't forget, the vinyl is the Hip Hop source.......

To do the same gestures, the pioneers have done, to look for the breakbeat; to cut the drums, like the first beatmakers; to find the deep bass, like the reggae, the dub......

" To understand a science, it's necessary to know its history"

Jerome BOSCO, a french producer, respects the traditions. Hip-Hoper since the middle of the eighties; he has worked the beat, since more than ten years. He was a interviewer journalist for a Hip Hop magazine (Racine), a sound engineer's assistant in a rap studio (Wicked). "Often, I'm asked about my concept, I answer, my concept is the real Hip Hop, nothing else. I'm not here to play the comedie" "Actually, I'm looking for a manager and for a MC..... to realize my new projects."

-------------------------

"Yeah... I'm listenin' to these tracks and it's taking me back to the days I use to work all nite sessions with Pete Rock...I can hear the old school influence working with new ideas... I like it a lot."

PRINCE ELWOOD STRICKLAND III Producer- Engineer Green Street Recording - MC (Christopher Blackwell, De LaSoul, Jungle Brothers, Black Eyed Peas, Pete Rock, Raekwon, Kurupt...) - New York

"Hey Jerome ... You have some great tracks. A lot of people have send me stuff to listen to and yours is the best I've heard. I like the message in your website intro, too ! Keep up the great work !!!"

"It's interesting that you mentioned Kool Herc. I recently went to a friend's birthday BBQ in Harlem and Kool Herc was there. I got to meet him. Very nice guy.To be honest, if no one told me that he was Kool Herc, I swear I would not have recognized him; I was too busy in my own zone. I also remember my first first night jam (after a long day at a block party) when I was nine years old. My older sister took me, It was a block away from my building (at the time-in my old neighborhood) and the Dj had his turntables plugged into the street lamp, and it was made of wood. He scratched vinyl--not CD's. And there was a BIG crowd surrounding this guy I used to know--he was break dancing and spinning on his head on the concrete. Those were real great times. Truth is, I never realized that the Bronx was the birthplace of Hip-Hop, I thought everybody's neighborhood around the world functioned just like mine. One of the guys from the Cold Crush Brothers--his name was James, was my hair stylist for like a year. When I think about that time, it's interesting to see just how Hip-Hop has grown up. James--my stylist--has told me the same thing you just did. He said : < Keep real Hip-Hop alive and tell our story the way it should be told. >"

Thanks for reminiscing with me. You are definitely a kindred spirit.

All My Best
