I'm home sick and I somehow zoned out. This soap opera on NBC seems to slip to and fro with a cartoon? At first, I thought that maybe I sat on the remote or it was a broadcasting problem. Two characters were also discussing Teri Schiavo. Yet it's the same bad acting I remember from my youth.
I haven't seen a soap opera in over 10 years. I have a friend at work (a 35 year old straight man) who records one and he said his soap is kind of sci-fi. wtf happened to soaps?

THANK YOU! I felt like I was losing my mind. The animation in the cartoon was horrible -- worse than on Saturday morning TV of the early 70s. This mom was like a snake and she was threatening to kill her son's girlfriend. I never did see how the cartoon fit with the live action, because after the cartoon they always seemed to jump into an unrelated scene.
After the soap there was some self help show where women appear to be living in a house because they're Starting Over. They all took an egg out of the basket to symbolize that they will be leaving the reality TV nest. I took a bath and then listened to Radiohead while reading bad magazines.
