View Full Version : i've nearly eaten a whole block of cheese today
i started early this afternoon, i've been eating it on and off all day. now it's nearly gone. it takes all my willpower to put it away everytime i bring it out, but it keeps calling my name.
god i love not being lactose intolerant

i love cheese. i could eat a whole block any day. i just don't want to cause it means there'll be none for the next day.

my friends have dared me to (in 1 sitting) eat an entire block of cheese, cause i do stuff like that (apparently??), i don't think i could do it in 1 sitting.
what kind of cheese is it?

that's really the only thing keeping me back. it cost me 2.50, i dont want to waste it all on one day.
it's mild cheddar. i would have got sharp cheddar, because i like it more, but they didn't have it, at least not the cheap kind i like to buy. i'm not made of money you know, i can't afford cracker barrel every day. i probably COULD eat it in one sitting, but i wouldn't want to, one sitting would be a little much. i'd feel sick by the end of it, and if you're getting sick, you're not eating it right! but i could most definitely do it in one day if i spread it out properly.
god i love this stuff

I prefer marble cheese. (y)
another thing holding me back is that cheese ain't cheap these days, well, the good stuff anyway. i do have a slice of it everyday though.

I had no idea there were people that like to eat an entire block of cheese  I don't think I could do it myself. I don't mind cheese but prefer it in small doses and like melted or in a sandwich or something
Hey speaking of cheese. My sister comes round the other night, and she eats half a slice of cheese and leaves the half in the container, all alone there. Don't do that shit just eat the whole slice. half a slice is useless to me biatch

i prefer my cheese on a cracker, thanks (y)
a burger ain't a burger without cheese.
i haven't been eating it much before today, and i just couldn't get it off my mind. i have it on crackers once in a blue moon, and i couldn't stop thinking about it, so i just ran down to the local store and bought a block of cheddar and started cutting off slices. it's not a huge block (like i said, $2.50, and it's marked up a little because i got it from the college quik-e-mart), but it goes so fast if you eat it straight. one bite's not enough, you need to have another, and another, and another, and well ok, just one more slice and i'm done, ok, well this will be the last one and i swear i'm done, alright, maybe one more won't hurt, one tiny one, oops, the knife slipped, i cut it diagonally, i'd better just even off that edge a little, you know?

I get these weird cravings for sharp cheddar, pickles, and potato chips. I can't imagine what it'll be like once I'm actually pregnant. :-/

Serving suggestion - ditch the mayo and go some sweet chilli sauce, then upsize that to a burger, add some tomato. If that chicken is fried it will be the bomb (y) Ok so maybe that was more than just a serving suggestion, but chicken cheese and sweet chilli sauce in a burger OMG. I have maybe 1 or 2 a week. Doesn't seem to matter where I get it from either. I mean they all taste a bit different, but they all taste good. (y)

Oh, how I used to love smoked gouda! I love most good cheeses. I love cheese so much that I can't eat the tasteless faux cheese at places like Subway.
My friends started serving a cheese that was a combo of gorganzola and something else and it's killer. I just know they're going to serve it this weekend.

Yeah, but I quit buying good cheese because I will eat it in one sitting and none of my friends serve smoked gouda at their homes.
Same with olives. I can only buy a little container because I will polish them off too fast.

Thank god I'm part german, otherwise I wouldnt know about liverwurst, rollmops, herring salad, smoked cod, cheeses and salmon, that black bread that tastes funny that goes with the liverwurst (pumpernickle maybe  ), pickled cucumbers, all types of soft and mouldy cheeses (brie, camembert, blue vein) and some other weird stuff. But alot of respect to the whole block of cheddar. What sorta grammage are we talking here? 250 gm, 500 gm? Don't tell me you went the kilo block cos that would be superhuman.
