Apart from the Beastie Boys last year in Berlin of course:
Radiohead on 9/11/2001. It was soooooooo sad. And really,
some people in the audience still didn't know what happned,
so Thom Yorke had to explain it. We didn't want to go first,
but it was the best concert, I've ever seen…
once I thought I was at a Jamarouqi concert but then I realised that I was actually in an elevator.
pahahaha!

Magic Dirt in the Great Hall at the BDO the year Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins headlined - I think it was the second of the national tours, 1994 or 1995, maybe. Fuckin mad as hell, people climbing up into the rafters and jumping out into the moshpit. The Dirt were going off, they had a truly fucking ferocious live show in those days. Best rock band in the country at that time by far.

I don't think I really have a "best gig," but the last two shows I went to were pretty dope. I saw G. Love on the 6th and Pittsburgh was the last stop on the tour. He played for 3 hours and then played an hour and a half long encore. It was good shit. The weekend after that, I saw Pennywise and Bad Religion. That show was fun cuz it felt like I traveled back in time ten years. I almost forgot how much ass Bad Religion kicks.

Too, too many; impossible to choose a 'best'. Let me think: Dead Kennedys sometime in the winter of 1985, at the Showplace in Dover NJ, one of thier last shows I believe. Beasties and Rollins Band at Roseland Ballroom in NYC, I don't even remember the year, 1994ish? And the many, many, many shows at Maxwells in Hoboken, from roughly 1991-1999, as that was pretty much my second home, and I had the good fortune to see pretty much everybody I'd ever likely wanted to. Yeah so, just too too many, really.

Akron / Family
i really want to see these guys. have only just got into them and am quite excited.
i saw the avalanches play at some stage in my life. cant remember when. they were intense. shame that they seem to have fallen off the face of the earth.
i saw manitoba/cariobou about a month ago and there was like 50 people at the gig. i stood right at the front and got totally blown away by all the drumming.
battles are another good live band. perhaps my favourite. i think the term is "serious next level shit". seeing them again at atp's nightmare before christmas, curated by the mars volta. gonna be sex.

t(i)nc, the hives, rival schools - octoberish 2002
t(i)nc, the locust - octoberish 2003
the aquabats - every show of theirs i've seen
secret machines/kings of leon earlier this year
secret machines @ coachella even earlier this year (that was probably the best of the best)
ben folds/rufus wainwright/ben lee sometime in september i believe - it was great. folds and rufus did an amazing duet of "careless whisper". i recorded some of it with my digicam. loved it.
like ms. peachy said, it's so hard to narrow them down...i've been to so many that have left me breathless. rilo kiley, death cab for cutie, and pedro the lion have always blown me away every time i've seen them. those are just the ones that stand out in my mind, i guess.

I'm guessing you saw them at a good venue.
They opened for Coldplay and my friend dragged me out of the bar to see them. I didn't enjoy the female singer. It's difficult to be an opening act at a big venue.
My concert memories are too hazy to have a reliable ranking. For instance, I adored Fleetwood Mac when I saw them on the Mirage tour, but now I'm sure it wasn't a great show. My favorite concert of 2005 will probably be Beastie Boys.
