Was that really back in 96?

That looks a lot more recent. But it's tough to tell on the itty bitty screen.

that's a good call cj. I never heard anyone on this site or Beastiemania mention that. that's old school as far as rap videos go. I believe you can also see Adrock in the crowd too, with his hat bill flipped up. it's been years since I've seen that video. I always believed Adrock was in the "you talk too much" video by Run Dmc. He's dressed in a leather jacket and sunglasses (I think), he's playing an character role in the background of a guy just talkin shit/ running his mouth (Lyor Cohen is in there too, in the tv set). I can't say for sure it's him, but through his mannerisms and gestures, I always thought that was him. Check it out, and judge for yourself. I also always thought that was him screaming "touchdooowwwn!" on "You be Illin'". Never heard any facts on that though. Didn't really care either, but some people here might. There's a couple old school flix of the Beastie in the new Def Jam book too, that I never seen. Adrock on the turntables, '85 or '86 definitely.

Just checked, I'm 99% sure he's not in it. Its such a weird video its hard to tell in one or two places. For instance, peoples faces are painted white, etc.

I recalled reading this thread awhile back and it inspired me to do a section on beastiemania.com which spotlights the cameo appearances the Beastie Boys have made in other musicians' music videos e.g. the Pharcyde's "Drop."

If anyone has nice screen captures of the Beastie Boys cameos in the Run DMC or Whodini music videos please email them to me through the address on beastiemania.com.

Also, I was reading in the book Def Jam, Inc. and it said Adam Yauch directed a music video for Arthur Baker's wife Tina B.
Anyone have a guess as to which video it was? I looked at imdb.com and there wasn't much there to go on.

Also....
I bought an old Tina B Lp from 1985 a few years back with the hope Adam Yauch may be made an appearance on it. I relistened to it today...sure didn't hear him on any of the tracks.

Look very closely everytime they go to where De La is rapping in front of the basketball hoop and a guy is sitting on the rim. The guy on the rightside of the backboard standing up is MCA. At first I wasn't sure but notice the way he nods his head, and moves his hands at 00:34 and 00:40. That's Yauch.

Here is the original thread - where we were trying to put together a list of music videos that featured Beastie Boys cameos.
