Whattabout The Donnas? I like The Go-Gos. Who voted for them?
I would have to give it to The Supremes, though.

Disclaimer:
I shouldn't have even made this poll. Clearly, I was struggling, which kinda sucks.
I mean, why the fuck is Pink Lady on there? They were awful. And I've never even heard The Raincoats, for instance, so how would I know?
I'm an idiot full of self-loathing. Mods, please close this miserable excuse for a thread. Thanks.

You're too hard on yourself, man.
I think I like the idea of The Runaways more than their music itself.
Oh, and Heart. I prefer the reincarnated overblown power pop stuff to the older Zeppelin influenced stuff, though.
The Raincoats do an interesting cover of The Kinks' Lola which is strangely catchy.

I do believe you are missing the chief exponents of Girl Power themselves, the force of nature known as the Spice Girls.
Clo's going to cry, you know.

...I think Heart was 3/5ths male, wasn't it?

...weren't Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris "Trio" or something like that?
Not the "I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha" Trio, but the other one.

At it's inception, yes. But for Heart Mach II, it was pretty much just Ann, Nancy aaaaaand thenameless/facelesspeoplethatyouhearinthebackground.

The Supremes changed my life.
The Shangri-Las didn't change my life, but they deserve a mention with the Ronnettes and Crystals. They had more depth than just Leader of the Pack and Remember Walking in the Sand.

Talk more about this. I never really investigated the Shangri-Las, though I dug Walking in the Sand immensely.

Don't forget The Bangles.
I agree with Salt 'n' Pepa and Luscious Jackson too.
If Heart counts as a female group, then I'd probably vote for them.
