So, what's the latest for the rest of you gamers out there or what are you playing lately?

Oh, I'm currently alternating between Farcry and Conkers. I haven't played Conkers on N64 and I only play it when drunk but damn, all that potty humor cracks me up.

i remember conkers from N64, that game was hilarious.

i dont have a whole lot of money to spend on games these days, the most recent ones i bought were from russia with love and resident evil 4. they're both quite awesome, though i havent had time to play them in great depth. i've also played "gun", the new western game, but it's not so good. it's waaay too short. it's fun to play through once, but then you've got to find something else to do with the rest of the afternoon. it's a good rental, that's about it. it's disappointing, i thought they'd finally made a good western game. i guess not yet.

so Gun came out already for xbox then? Shit, I didn't even know that. I thought it was only for the 360. And damn, it's short? I wonder how it is in comparison to red dead revolver.. I'll just have to wait to get it for the 360 though.

I'm hearing all the hype about RE4 as well and I sold my ps2 a while back but there's alot of ps2 games out so I'm debating on getting the newer version.

Yes!! Pitfall was the shit. I had a 2600 with pitfall, boxing, grand prix, fishing and heaps of other games. They sure dont make them like they used to (maybe thats a good thing though ;))

i believe it's out for xbox, ps2, and PC. really though, don't buy it, it's definitely not worth any more than a rental. i'd say it's a fair bit better than red dead revolver, but it's still not worth buying. like i said, it's fun to play through once, but soon enough you'll exhaust the main quest and all the side quests and there's really nothing left to do. it's worth a rental, but not much more.

How is Civ IV? I lilke those games.

I've been going to EB games and buying the 5 buck used games so I'm about two years behind now. I've been playing Dynasty Warrior III and Medal of Honor. Whats up snack hoes?

civ iv is a lot of fun. if you liked the other 3, you'll like this one too. it's got everything you'd expect from a sequel; better graphics, new units, new factions, a few new features (you can found and spread religions, the civics model is a little different, there are now "great people" you can spawn, like moses, copernicus, da vinci, and so on, they do different things), but the basic gameplay mechanics are the same so it's not threatening. i'd say get it.

the religion thing is a lot of fun. if you're the first civ to discover certain techs, you can found the religion that's associated with it (IE meditation leads to buddhism, polytheism leads to hinduism), and you'll get benefits from any city that practices that religion. you can build missionaries to convert rival cities to your religion, civs will like/dislike each other based on religious differences and so on. there's 7 to choose from, and none of them are "better" than the others, just simply having a religion, no matter which religion it is will produce the same effects in your cities. and you're free to choose/found whatever religion you like, it doesnt matter which civ you pick, which can lead to hilarious results. for example, in my game, the holy city of the jews is berlin. in another game, buddhism was founded in england, in another the aztecs discovered christianity.

it's quite good, if you like the civ series, you'll enjoy it. i still like alpha centauri a little better, though.


i'd like to know more about spartan:total warrior, i've been looking at it. is it any good? how does it compare to say, dynasty warriors? i've heard mixed reviews.

and on the SC III tip, it's really fun to play. There are also custom characters that you can make (I've made 3 of my own so far hehe). I dig it. I am still a Tekken girl though. :o
