People who push their way onto a subway car or elevator as soon as the door opens, and don't wait until the people who are already in there come out.

WHY? What purpose does this serve? I see lots of people do it every day, commuting to and from work. WHY? The train/lift is not going to leave without them, it doesn't save time, it only makes everything more complicated. WTF is wrong with those people?

...maybe they figure it's the best way to get a seat, rudeness nothwithstanding. I don't know.

I generally just let the person/people him/her/it through. One of those "life's too short" things I've made my peace with which for.

The subway door only opens when most of people that were in the metro get out.

Whenever the elevator opens, I try to be the last person to get in because it's just silly of me to get in first and getting all the trouble to get through all these people to get out in the floor I want to!!!!!!

Wow, lots of "get"!!

OMG yes.

Also puzzling: people who speed up to pass me on the right and wedge into the small space in front of my car right before their lane ends, when it would have been simpler to slide into the enormous space behind me. Ooh, you're going to get there 1 second ahead of me.

here, ive noticed that most people wait till everyone gets off to get on. mostly cause the few times that someone's been that rude... they get yelled at, occasionally beaten. you dont mess with new yorkers on the subway.

I like when I'm trying to push a baby stroller out of the elevator at the mall and the inconsiderate and lazy people who are apparently oblivious to the single flight of stairs next to the elevator begin to pile in before I can do so. It gives me an excuse to roll over their feet and elbow them in the ribs while I try to maneuver the stroller out.

awesome.

in DC it would happen sometimes, people pushing to get in when people haven't gotten out yet. Lame. Also, I became one of those DC'ers that would get irritated by people that stand on the escalators on BOTH the left and right. MOVE TO THE RIGHT WHORES!

When I get off the train, people are running to their cars and then peel out like its a race to beat the train before it blocks the street for 20 seconds while it crosses. Seriously. Guys pull off their car covers like they are David Copperfield and smoke tires. I always sit and listen to a Rush song or something until the speed racers are gone.

I have pushed people straight back out onto the platform on the tube for doing this. Uh, if you've just stepped right where I need to go, what the fuck do you expect me to do?
