Would you folks be interested in a T-shirt exchange? Like, let's put all our names in a bag and each person has to send a shirt to the other?

We could try to match them up by sizes, if it would work. I'm just interested in seeing what sort of stuff would get traded.

Are we talking new shirts? Or just grabbing a shirt from our drawer that we don't wear anymore?

How about used condoms and diaphragms?

Um... grabbing a shirt from whatever collection you might have and then washing it if it's not already clean and sending it.

Or maybe we could include buying a shirt for someone? I mean, thrift stores have T shirts for a dollar or three....

This is just in the idea stage; I just think it's an interesting thought.

Nah -- I like the idea of sending someone one of your own, I guess.

What do you guys think?

I'll send out a shirt. But I don't expect one in return.

Especially one that would fit my rather bulbous midsection.

I still have two extra shirts from my company softball team sitting in my desk.

A-Z, if you're an XL, I'll send you one on Monday.

I think we should just all send eachother money. PM me if anybody wants to send me a hundred dollars. I'll send you 100 back. It'll be fun. I prefer cash.

I used to fit in a medium... it was the best 3 weeks of 4th grade ever!

Four months, not supremely dilligent but fairly dillgent.

It's the same old thing: exercise properly, eat properly five or six small meals a day, etc.

So I bike and lift weights.

....board members can hash this out over the next couple days; if I get to the library downtown, I'll check in and see how the discussion went.

Unless a better idea comes up: my vote would be for people to grab a shirt they don't want to wear anymore or just want to give away; they get distributed by size, and the board member receiving it posts a picture of themself wearing it. (y)

This is sounding okay, isn't it?

I'm gonna split in about 40 minutes.

Anybody who wants to take part in it send me their mailing address and shirt size...

T-shirts are sometimes unisex, sometimes not, sometimes in centimeters, etc. Let's just make it easy: tell me adult size small, medium, large, XL, XXL, XXXL, 4X, whatever. And we'll try to match people up.

We probably need at least eight people to do this, right? Eight or so? We'll have to see how the sizes go.

abcdefz
11-18-2005, 03:39 PM
...I guess I should make it clear that whoever's involved will have to be comfortable with me giving their address to anyone else involved without knowing who that might be. Capiche?

I guess when you give the addresses out you'll also give the name of the person too. If I receive packages addressed to "the guy who lives at..." or "the occupier" I have to tell my bosses, and they would send an army robot round to blow it up.

So, to recap the story so far:

Send me your adressee name and mailing address and your adult T-shirt size in Ethnocentric American Size and I'll match people up somehow.

If, like me, you can make two or even three sizes of shirts work for you, list order of preference. Maybe you'll wind up with a new nightgown or something for your Barbie doll. (y)

Well, I shore do I wish I had a camera, because a very nifty T-shirt arrived from across the pond for me in my mailbox of color on the evening of last. (y)

It's sort of light-chocolate sort of brown from one "Loser" clothing company. (I found a couple, searching for an image -- this one's in Ireland.)

On the front, it has "LOSER" in a very cool design... stars behind the L, S, and R, and then an oval marquee around the whole word. The back has a small bar code at the neck.

Very, very cool.

Thanks to Mssr. TonsoFun for coming through on this one. (y)

I wish the shirt I sent off were 50% as cool. :o
