What's your opinion on what happened in the early universe?
How does this jibe with your beliefs (if you have any, that is)?

I'm skeptical. If it's true, then it's another nail in the coffin of Genesis, so it fits fine with my beliefs.

What makes you skeptical about it, exactly?
As for your beliefs, I did want to make it public that I appreciate the respect you keep for those with dissenting opinions from your own, Funkaloyd.
It's a pleasure to have you on these boards....

I hold a degree of skepticism for any new theory. That I first saw this one of a popular science website adds to that. Press releases and summaries for laymen often exaggerate or misrepresent results. But as I said, I don't have a problem with the result itself; it's good news for abiogenesis.
I appreciate the respect you keep for those with dissenting opinions from your own, Funkaloyd.
I think you might have me confused with somebody else.

First of all, you can always point black say it was invented thousands of years ago, and thtit was simply created to appear older.
Here's my belief. Don't laugh. A lot of these "years" are limited in their consciousness, just as we can "waste" a year. In the Book of Mormon we read about years passing away. ()dying. I think radioactivity might be radio activity, that radios or scriptures might influence how many years happen without their being lived through.
Ask a Hindu. Their religion has a timeline of living organisms equivalent to the scientific timeline. There are Hindu Mormons living two floors above me that I can ask about any of this.
As for the recap, I suggest the Bible might refer to years lived through with fire in their skull or freedom to act for themselves.

You could also say that the Universe was created this morning. All your memories of yesterday and yesteryear were implanted in your head by God. Why he would do such a thing I don't know.

Shallomni-potentent presence reveal it to you and I? That's up to the Creator!
More creativity can answer the last's questions, I believe, but cursewords won'thelpthe answer come.
tHERE ARE theories the Universe is nearly annhilated and recreated each question-What is the shortest unit of time measurable-one of that. But as for being created this moning, I suggest you stay with at least yesterday, the day before yesterday, today, and tomorrow as existing.
Hindu Mormons don't eat red meat and obey the word of wisdom, staying away from alcohol tobacco coffee nonherbal tea, caffeine, and they are eating wheat, vegetables and fruits, not too much meat ona regular basis. Were youto committothose, I would ask them for you. They say Mormonism is exactly Hinduism 6000-7000 years ago. I wastold Jesus was an incarnation of Krishna. I'm sure my parents strongly object to the jesus-krishna idea, so Iwill attempttominimize it.

Has someone hacked catatonic's account? He's usually a lot more coherent than that.
