I did the same with a dragon figure years ago. Maybe in 2000 years time some assholes with nothing better to do will dig it up and sell it for a million pounds

My Rainbow Brite doll! Though I still have the bedsheets and dish set my mom bought me. One day, those bedsheets shall be my daughter's. I also still have my Pound Puppy and Carebear sheets, which shall also be passed on.

Oh yeah! And GAK! I had so much GAK. And I had these stupid machines that GAK would go through and be pushed out and ooze out of.

And my Skip-It. I found it just last week, and I still fuckin' rock at it.

I know. I don't think Skip-It was either. But those are my childhood toys. The 80's didn't come out with a lot of great stuff that I liked.

I guess except for my Atari. California games was fuckin' awesome. Mine still sorta works, except one joystick is broken and the other controller's buttons are broken.

Look, a 300lb weight limit. (http://www.expressivetoys.com/rorarosc.html)

I'm sure the new version is cheap and crappy, with no sharp edges or lead paint.

why, transformers of course! I had optimus prime and megatron. a friend of mine has collected all of the original tranformers (i donated megatron and a dinobot) and he's got them in a glass case. he wont even let his young son play with them, except for special occasions. oh yeah them and voltrek. (or voltron)? i cant remember. the lions that turned into a giant robot.

Original Strawberry Shortcake. They have the new ones out now, and while they're cute, just not the same. I had a Rainbow Brite desk and chair that I wish I still had. Oh, and a few of my Jem and The Holograms dolls have been missing for at least a decade. I actually found a Jem at a thrift store a couple of years ago. Yes, I did buy her.

Also, although I still have my She-Ra, it would have been nice if my cousin hadn't rubbed all of the paint off of her boobs. Damn you, Jamie.

The new ones do too. I got a couple for Easter a few years ago as a joke. Then I just bought some more for my little cousins to play with whenever I see them. Cute, but not as cute as the old school dolls. But they do make my backpack smell good.

OK....

I STILL have all my Star Wars figurines and that huge Milenniumn Falcon from the late 70's/early 80's.

I remember I'd get 20 bucks for my birthday or XMAs or something and I'd go down to Toys 'R Us and buy up all the Star Wars stuff I could.

I took them all out recently and played with them with my four kids....they loved it.

I also still have my original Apple ][ + that still works, with all the cool old games on real floppy disks : Ultima, Wizardry, Bard's Tale, Choplifter, Taipan...etc.

I LOVED my Intellivision...bought an emulator handheld piece of crap a few years back that never worked well.

We used to play Connect 4, the original Battleship, that handheld football game where the little blips moved left to right across a dingy little screen, BIG WHEEL!

Anyhow....lots of memories...thanks for the reminiscent trip down memory lane.

I want to have my remote controlled Porsche back.

And a thing called Moonhopper (do you know that?).
It was a ball with a ring around to stand on and hop
around - unbelievably stupid.

Oh yes, and I'm just thinking of buying a Carrera again
for our office. That would be cool for sparetimes.

I wish I still had my She-ras and the Castle. That shit was fun to play with. And my My Little Ponies. I had a bunch of Strawberry Shortcake dolls too.

I don't know what I was thinking getting rid of that stuff.

As I was already in my 20's in the 80's so I don't miss any toys from that era, but I do miss this twirly thing from my childhood. You could draw these atoms and flowers and psychedelic twirls with it, it was a piece of plastic with different sized holes with sawlike edges and you had this other round piece like a cogwheel where you put your pen through different placed holes and you drew round and round and round and round and round and round and voilá!

I think I got mine from a cornflakes packet.

I had this Evel Knievel motorcycle toy. You'd stick him on this platform, crank up the handle for more speed, then woooosh, off he goes. To bad he never survived the "Great Fire Jump" of 1981. :(

(y) (y) (y) That Evel Knievel toy was tops.

I also miss my electric football and my big toe football kicker. I would smash his head and kick 30 foot field goals. I believe he could kick better than the Jets kicker.

I have in my parents attic all the Star Wars action figures and various gear from Star Wars and Empire then lost interest around Return...but looked on the sidelines...I never saw Bib Fortuna(?)~you know Jabba's bitch henchman.
Somewhere along the way I started collecting all the G.I. Joe gear. I've got it all the way up til Serpendor came around then I was either too old or it just got too ridicules.

I wish I had my Spiderman, Daredevil, G.I. Joe, and X-Men comics. Sadly, I sold them all when I was 16 for $ so my hot date good bask in the goodness of Everclear and Hi-C......No regrets there but now I'm stuck with reading this (http://jinja.apsara.org/cambocomix/80s.htm)

Do you remember the football throwing thing where you could set it on the ground, crank back the arm, set the timer, put a football in it's hand, go out for a pass, and it would throw it to you?

I miss that. Hours and hours of fun....

Although it still remains in my family, just not in my possession - the original Star Wars figures with the capes that could be removed instead of the bullshit ones that are stuck on them... including the giant Darth Vader head carrying case that housed them all... you'd have to double up with luke on luke and han on han though when you got too many figurines...

Does anyone remember Le Mutt? He was a shaggy stuffed animal dog? yeah. ok.

Atari

Nintendo and the Legend of Zelda game

Dance Party USA and Square Pegs (although these are tv shows) - I still wish I had them on vhs...

the first computer we ever had... it was something pc jr? apple pc jr or something like this...

bigblu89
12-07-2005, 03:59 PM
It seems that all the Atari, coleco, and Intellivision games are coming out either as collection discs for PS2/Xbox, or those controllers you plug into the TV, but there aren't any Commodore 64 games out like that.

I had a few really good games for commodore that bet would still be good today.

Games like Boulder Dash, the original Test Drive, Racing Destruction Set, Good Shit.

Other than that, most of my childhood toys consisted of He-Man figures and the big, hard rubber WWF wrestling figures made by LJN.

I still have the original teddy rupskin and his caterpillar friend grubby. But they're in a box somewhere. I miss my little dweller guy from the fraggle rock show... Although I didn't have rainbow bright, I had the white fuzzy thing with the star antennas and long rainbow legs. Oh yeah, I still got my glow worm, 2 my little ponies, a pokey and gumby posable toys, rubix cube, ninetendo with original mario bros. and other games and a 1982 oldsmobile regency model 98 that's falling apart... its passed the 999,999 mark so many times... but when that car goes, it'll be like losing a member of the family :(

my mom was pregnant with me while driving that car, i remember sitting in my car seat in that car,... I learned how to drive in that car
