that's not too bad. Being in the rear during the holidays is allright because there's no duty and nobody to jump on your shit.

I'm actually working that day too. It's never been a celebrated holiday in my family and I don't want to miss out on that double time.

^yeah it won't be too bad, some quiet time to study really. Originally one of my guys had to work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and that's pretty fucked up so I really don't mind

my parents were supposed to come visit, as they usually do at Thanksgiving, but the baseball-sized tumor that they found in my mom is hindering those plans. i'll cook for the b/f, since it's our first Thanksgiving together in the same house.

Typical Thanksgiving. Hanging out at grampa's house with my uncle the drunk and my gramma with alzheimers and the rest of the fam. Probably spend at least an hour exchanging insults with my 2 cousins and then retire to the big scary city. My sister has to work and she's leaving me alone with them.

Hopefully seeing Harry Potter in Seattle.

Hey Cosmo: I had dinner this weekend with a bunch of ex-vegetarians. They agreed that to-furky is just wrong (I had never heard of it). Why eat something that isn't meat but is supposed to resemble meat? Why not just have a nice veggie lasagna?

eh, it's about the tradition of having turkey around that time of year, i guess. i mean, i wasn't born vegetarian, so i had turkey when i was a kid, and i liked it. it's nowhere near a replacement, but it's nice to have. and it's just a fun little celebratory thing i let myself have once a year. i actually really like the taste of it. :)

If your seeing HP in Seattle, do it right and watch it at the Cinerama (http://www.cinerama.com/)! One of the coolest theatres in the USA. (Paul Allen's place)

I already had an early Thanksgiving last week. I'll be working Thanksgiving, which is cool with me. Invited some family and friends over and cooked a bird with all the trimmings. But now I get a call and somebody is going to bring in a big Thanksgiving dinner for the crew at work on Thursday....Bonus!

Definitely go to the Cinerama. Its an awesome theater, huge screen, good eats, very 60s decor. But get your tickets in advance, its a hugely popular theater. Lines around the block and all, sells out frequently, especially for an event like Harry Potter.
