Why is Hello Nasty always the most expensive record of the beasties? Is there a reason? At all the record stores ive been to hello nasty is the most expensive, even in the beastie store its more expensive.
I'm not complaining about the price or anything, just found it to be interesting.
Maybe its because of the length of the record?

That's interesting, because it's the cheapest record where I live. You can buy it for the half of the price of others. And I always wondered why since it was a bigger comercial success than e.g. CYH.

Hello Nasty is the most expensive record on your store shelf because of the capitalist system. It involves a lot of skilled people working for several hours setting up bins and posters and baskets of pins. That's expensive no matter which way you cut it. It's far more expensive than a fitness facility.

Now that I think of it, it does seem to be the priciest of their LP's.
Maybe its the extensive artwork on the inside cover?

I was just admiring the artwork the other day. I like the space creature on the far right of the gatefold. He, too, is admiring the time and effort put into the album but from a safe distance.

I agree - I find in NYC that it's always the most expensive cd in their full-length bunch.
As an interesting side note, you cannot get it from BMG/Columbia House record club either like you can the others (Pauls,LTI, IC, and SGH). Somethin's fishy with the Nasty..

Isn't it more likely to be the packaging? That is if it still comes in a cardboard digipak...

Maybe the extra money goes to their 'coffee savings fund'
Buying stuff at starbucks in japan had to get expensive. I know it is here

Paul's Boutique is the most expensive in New Zealand - must be coz' it's awsome!
Do you wanna' know what I saw the other day that really pissed me off? TT5B for $9.95, which would be about $6.95USD.
That sux ass for the Beasties - specially when they put so much time into it.
Not impressed.

How much is 'pie' in NZ? :)

Oooh, for a good 'meat pie' (that sounds so yuk!) i'd say about $3. Or you could go to the 'Ward Street' bakery and get one for about $1.80.
I do love a good pie!

Fopp's a quality shop. In yours do they have a wall full of album sleeves (the side if you know what I mean)? In the one in Manchester one of them is CYH.

The most expensive one for me was definitely Paul's Boutique, but that's because I ordered it from the United States since I couldn't find a single one here! But that was a long time ago. :p
EDIT: I wrote Shake Your Rump instead of Paul's Boutique. Oh, no. :p
