View Full Version : Parody t-shirts
Ok, so I'm wanting to set up a cafepress site with designs that I make for t shirts and hooded sweatshirts etc. (if you aren't aware cafepress is a site in which you upload images and they print them on all sorts of things and sell them).
One of the designs I have in mind is parodying the logo of a computer game company with the word "geek" instead but made in a similar font etc. I was just wondering if said company might try sue me or something.
You've all seen the type of t shirts I'm talking about. This (http://splitreason.com/productdetail.php?id=82) and this (http://www.101t-shirts.com/acatalog/Enjoy_Cocaine_t_shirt.html) for example.

I'd watch out with copying the big brands. I think that as long as it isn't too offensive and you don't get too big it will be ok though.
I used to wear this (http://i23.ebayimg.com/04/i/04/ag/dc/60_1_b.JPG) shirt when I was about 13. I always thought the text was ironic. Another piece of irony was that I never smoked weed, but then again, I used to wear basketball shirts and never played basketball.

I'm also Italian and don't drink coffee, live in Holland but don't drink beer.
Go figure.
Also... I'm actually doing work but posting on here. That is the most mind boggling one of all.

They will hunt you down and kill you. They'll make you suffer. They'll kidnap you, tie you to a tree and hack off your limbs, before mailing them to the four corners of the universe, where they shall be reunited with Milla Jovovich and then all shall be well.

Hmmmm... Milla....
Everytime I see your avatar that damn "holding back the ears" shoots into my mind.

That bunny's too tight to mention. Crazy days (y)
And what's even crazier is that I can't stand the 5th Element, and yet here I am parodying it.
Wowzers!

Now you are a walking contradiction.
So how's things then? As good a thread as any to ask how you've been doing.

I'm swimming in coursework and too far away from that weirdo who keeps coming to visit me (who is that by the way?).

I wish I had nice visitors.
The only person that comes around regularly is a bearded rumanian guy :(

Now now, Celeste just has darker body hair than most - no need to be offensive.

I'd trade her for the rumanian guy anytime, I'd even be able to cope with the beard.
(It's ok, he'd understand!)

I'm addicted to The Mountain T-shirts.
The Mountain (http://www.themountain.com/index.html)
It pisses me off when I see so many huge Nike logos at the basketball, even kids with Nike swooshes shaved into their heads (little arseholes!)
I'd like to get a good anti sweatshop/anti Nike T-shirt to wear every time I go to a game - especially as I sit in a courtside box and if I had a big back print everyone behind me would get the message shoved under their nose.

They're not parody, but I'm well into howies (www.howies.co.uk)
