When I used to work they did it at every work place I went to. You put names into a hat (or a simular device that would hold names, like a small bag but I'll call it a hat because that is a coined term already) with a list of 3-5 things that they would like for Christmas and then each person pulls a name out of the 'hat' or simular device and has to buy that person a present normally at a agreed price. So each person end up with their prefered booze to the agreed price as a present and makes everyone happy!
