You should've said something, man.
I've got a good recipe for a sweet-potato/swiss cheese/sesame seed milk casserole.
You might, too. It's either in Diet for a Small Planet or Recipes for a Small Planet.

GBC.
*sighs*
...church picnic?
Echewta
11-23-2005, 12:20 PM
No. Two family gatherings. Its not your average GBC where you dump in the mushroom soup and throw on some premade fried onions. We are talking Swiss, Gruyere, special green beans, etc.

pita? lots of pitas are vegan. so are tortillas. just make sure there's no lard or whey. go with Ezekiel's sprouted tortilla. they also make a 7-grain pita but it's not sprouted. that shit fills you up like whoa. what are you using it for? i've got me some yeast-free whole wheat rolls for myself and whoever else wants 'em.

whoaaaa. you're going vegan already? are you sure?
i tried doing it about a year into vegetarianism and i was NOT ready for it. transition slowly. start cutting things out one by one. and get accustomed to vegan products first. vegan cheese, soy, rice, almond milk, vegan margarine...cooking with those things. trust me on this.
byproducts...there are so many. i highly recommend this lady's (http://www.govegan.net/frameset.htm) book, How it All Vegan. good starter guide. that and Simply Vegan. that's easy to find at borders/barnes & noble.
cosmo105
11-23-2005, 12:46 PM
Simply Vegan would definitely be a good book for you then. it tells you all about the proper nutrition you need.
http://vegweb.com is a good resource too for recipes.
just promise me you won't become a vegan crusader and make the rest of the world feel like crap for eating animals.
cosmo105
11-23-2005, 12:51 PM
i still have a few leather items, but they're things i've had for years and years and it would be wasteful to just throw them out.
being vegan is technically a lifestyle, too. if you're vegan only in diet, a lot of huffy vegans won't like you calling yourself that. and most vegans don't eat honey or bee products...personally, i don't care too much, but i try to avoid it. agave nectar (y)
