I realize neither parties can be "Mr. Clean", but a link devoted to "Clinton Scandals"? Good lord. Did Clinton eat a baby or something? I know it must be a tragedy that he's no longer in office, since it's getting tougher and tougher to blame him for current world problems.

Well sorry bud, I happen to agree with you, but the Dems. are not the ones in control right now. The right seems to have their own special brand of scandal.

Unless people can prove that cum stains on a dress can cause world war 3 I think people "to the right" should stop pointing the finger at Clinton whenever their side gets criticized.

I just had a scary thought.

That dress didn't turn up on ebay did it?

Right?

:(

They didn't mention Gov. Ehrlich's scandal of firing democrats in high positions that disagreed with him and replacing them with friends of his. It's under investigation, but it's still a scandal.

Agreed.

My point was to not make it all about how horrible the GOP is, but that this stupid ass crap happens every single friggin 2nd term of a Prez....

Not ONE has escaped without all this kind of mess happening at some point in their 2nd terms.

Heck, Kennedy almost had WWIII over Cuba, if y'all remember (I'm deliberately throwing in the "y'all" as a trial separation from my more high-brain functionality...do y'all like it? :p )...

Which is why we need real change NOW. It isn't going to happen with just a few progressives out there, we need people like you sam. If all the people out there like you and the democrats decided we wanted different leadership we would get it. Oh sure , they would kick and scream and propangadize and probably even promise us the world, but if we stuck to it it could happen.

really the only difference is the dems always seem to have sexual scandals and the republicans tend to get very very greedy. its all good though they (the current administration) are already in a horrible downward spiral. Scooter Libby is just the tip of the iceberg...

Republicans have the best (http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/22/ryan.divorce/) sexual scandals!

Smart man. He neither confirms nor denies, he just said he hasn't been unfaithful. Wanting his wife to have sex with him while another couple watched isn't adultery.

Incidently, I thought of an episode of law and order: criminal intent when I read this and apparently I'm not the only person to think so (http://www.tv.com/law-&-order-criminal-intent/sex-club/episode/398719/summary.html). I didn't know about this scandal when I saw the episode a week or so ago.

I didn't mean it in a "OMG they have so many scandals, lol" way, I meant it in a "Jesus, if these people did proper research and didn't glaze over each state, they would have found the only scandal Maryland has been talking about for the past 3 months," way.

Seriously. Ehrlich has been putting his friends in high positions after firing people who didn't agree with him, and now he's selling land illegally. If these people just link him to Abramoff, they haven't done nearly enough research. Anyone who's lived in Maryland has heard about it.

The problem with power is it freaking corrupts.

I've considered, over the years, running for office myself. The real problem is that I have skeletons in my own closet that I'd rather not have aired all over the media, I'm not a multi-millionaire, and sizeable portions of the electorate disagree with my beliefs.

Other than that, I'd sure as shit join your movement, D_Raay....the big problem being that we'll NEVER have leadership of the type that you and I would envision as the type we'd like and there's WAY too much entrenched bureaucracy that would not allow real change to happen anytime in the near or distant future...
