I'm not one to often get impressed by an advert, but the new one for Sony Bravia TV's is fooking lovely! All them bouncy balls are SO very pretty.

Isn't it lovely though! I've been meaning to mention it since it appeared on the TV about a month back. Apparently the sales of the TV's have gone through the roof.

I never got commercials for tv's on tv that try to show you how amazingly crisp, sharp, colourful and delicious the image is on the advertised tv.

Do they realise that if it looks good on my shitty tv I don't need a new tv?

I really like that ad as well, not least because of the beautiful José Gonzáles' version of the Knives' song. He's Swedish you know ;)

He's great! Have you heard his cover of Kylie's 'Hand On My Heart'? It's beautiful.

No I haven't!
I've seen him live a few times, but I don't have any of his records (bad me!). Have to search for that one! Ta!

Yeah the Honda one was brilliant, it was all done in one take (although it took something like 600 takes to perfect it)

I think it's actually two in fact, but they did such a great job of splicing it together it's nearly impossible to spot the join. Here's a snippet from what snopes.com had to say about it:

The sequence of events in the advert is actually split into two shots — shooting the whole thing in one go would have been too expensive. "It was a damage limitation idea to snip it into two [parts]," says Rob Steiner, head of television at Wieden & Kennedy, the agency responsible for the advert. (Still not found the join? The first section ends and the second one begins at the one minute mark when an exhaust box rolls off to the right of the screen. Some clever editing bridges the two parts.)
