nice remix but the beat sounds a little empty to me...like it needs another layer or two or something. ok little synthy/horn change ups just came it, pretty cool.

sounds like the vocals arent synched correctly. I mean as a remixer you can tell when they fit perfectly. They might be timed right but like at the beginning when they start isnt right....

Aren't synched correctly? You say yourself they are timed right. Aren't synched correctly for who? As a remixer, I'm sure you're also aware that it's pretty customary to slice and dice vocal tracks, and use them wherever you see fit, while attempting to stay on the beat.
Anyways, I'm happy with how they're placed. Thanks for the listen.

I agree with DJ Skrilla. The vocals are on perfectly, but ya leave break between there versus. Its better if it keeps flowing along. But still nice remix (y)

Thanks. I respect Skrilla's opinion. He knows how to remix. I've just never heard the original, so I had no point of reference to base it on, or know if it "sounds off" with respect to the original or not.
I was sort of tryin to BE original. Not so much follow convention but break it. :)
Thanks for the words all. Peace.

hey mc jack in the box
im not saying this for revenge or anything
but i actually dont think the beat is strong enouggh to carry the vocals at all
and also the instruments sound like stock garage band instruments which are a little played
im sure youll get em next though kiddo

Whatever. Loops are like paint. They don't paint themselves.

hey man, i really dont wanna sound like a hater. i love hearing remixes. but i dont like this one at all. The Brouhaha is one of my fav tracks off TT5B and to hear this trumpet stuff in it, doesnt not really blend at all. And the beat, sorta salsa ish doesnt really flow with the rhyme scheme of the song.

No worries. Obviously, like you say you have strong feelings for the original and I do not. Like I said, I don't know the original. Which is good in that I can start with a clean slate but bad in that whatever direction I take inevitably gets compared to the original. Anyways, I'm not trying to fight with anyone here. I only post my remixes with hopes that folks might enjoy them, but it's not like I'm soliciting feedback in any of my posts, or bumping my mixes, or really pimping them in any way. If people like them and want to listen to them, maybe drop a kind word at their leisure, that's fine for me.
It's all just a brouhaha. :)
