View Full Version : There's an abundance of pop up ads...

...at the moment that have really made me laugh. They are obviously dodgy as they say "meet a sex partner in..." "get laid by a girl from..." "meet real people and fuck them silly with a ten foot barge pole tonight in...", and the place name is ALWAYS Salford.
For those of you not in the know, Salford is a dingy hell hole directly attached to Manchester. Safe to say that your average woman from Salford is around 16, looks like she's been hit in the face with the business end of a broken beer bottle and usually has about 3 kids with 3 different fathers and has another one on the way.
So not at all like the olive-skinned, perfect-toothed, Amazonian love goddesses pictured in the ads then. Haha :D

usually the pop up corresponds to what you are doing on the net at the given moment

I've seen them for "Meet girls in Port Augusta" which, for a start is miles away, and for seconds is a feral hell hole full of drunken ... erm.. natives (*ducks the PC crowds punches* hey they didn't just make the entire town a dry zone for no reason...)
I too, was printing porn for my parents

You're right about that, it's usually just on the page itself ;) Google toolbar does it's job well in the pop-up blocking

Yeah mine always says meet girls from dandenong...which once again is a bit of a hole, and about 20km from me. How the fuck do they know my general location though? Bastards.

It really isnt IP's. They have cameras man. They're everywhere. See they approximate my location so that i'm supposed to think "ohh they must have got that from my IP" when in reality they see all
if you use gmail, the ads correspond to what's in your email. try sending an email to yourself about suicide, or write yourself a dear john letter and see what the ads look like, it's hilarious

I forgot about that, google said they would take a random word or multiple words from your emails and do that. Wild. And I was thinking of going that way, are they pop-up's or ads?

i don't actually know, i'm one of the 5 people in the world who doesn't have gmail. i've seen pictures though, it looks like they're very nonintrusive text ads slightly to the right of the email screen
