....yeah, I've seen Thanksgiving decorations before, but not until this year have a seen houses on various blocks full-on decked out with thanksgiving decorations. I'm talking about stuff that would put most peoples' Christmas decorations or Halloween decorations to shame; property totally tranformed with oversized pumpkins, lots of lights, pilgrims and Indians and turkeys, horn of plenty, etc. It's nuts.



The other thing is in our public library. There's a very, very, very cool audio installation in the arts section.

If you're wandering those few aisles on the third floor, you'll hear, occasionally, on the overhead speaker, the sound of a page turning. Sounds like crisp, heavy paper. Just happens now and again.

It was several visits to the library before I realized that someone hadn't just left a hot microphone somewhere near someone reading a book; that this was intentional.

It's just... it's just cool. Can't explain it. And it's just on that one speaker overhead; walk anywhere else in the library, and you don't hear it. Just the art section.

was down that way last year and yes them people deck their halls all out....didnt know you were in San Jose was just down that way in Sept.

Yep. I live right downtown. Since the end of June.

What were you doing this-a-way?
