"If you can get him in your movie, get 'im."
--Steven Soderbergh
The man has range he doesn't get to use often enough, and... and what seems.... what has to be a purposely-bad Cockney accent he uses entirely too much. I don't know what that was about.
Anyway, Snoop -- Maurice -- happy birthday. You're older than me, dude, so God bless you. (y)

Never a better performance than in Boogie Nights, especially when he does the commercial for his new "Hi-fi" store.....
CLASSIC

This reminds me of when I said that Bob was the boards Don Cheadle. I still think he is. Both are vastly overshadowed by that bastard Denzel.
I'm Bob's Denzel, btw.

Wow man, I just don't know how to respond to something both so scathingly clever, yet so original. I'm just surprised that your pulitzer-level material has failed to grab my attention before now, though. Maybe you should pull that scrotum out of your mouth to say something more often, because your wit really shouldn't go to waste like that.

Why would I want to pull the scrotum out of my mouth?

...Cheadle being second or third in line to Denzel is kind of like Paul Newman having to wait until Robert Redford is done at the table so Paul may eat any remaining scraps.
Almost that bad.

Whoa man, let's not get carried away. We're talking about Newman here, probably one of the 5 greatest thespians to ever walk the planet.

Newman's fantastic. I'd love to see him share some stage with Cheadle sometime; I think Cheadle's maybe even better.
Denzel is Denzel is Denzel. Kind of like Jane Fonda or John Cusack or George Clooney -- they're fine at what they do, but the range is pretty narrow.
Cheadle has Maurice (Out of Sight) behind his eyes just as much as he has Buck (Boogie Nights) or Montel (Traffic). Each character distinctly has its own soul. Denzel is Denzel from role to role to role, and you never forget it. You could look at his clip reel and keep saying, "...is that from Devil in a Blue Dress or Hurricane? Now that's -- that's Courage Under Fire, right? Mo' Better Blues? Oh, you're right -- he's heavier in Courage Under Fire, isn't he, 'cause he drank. that's right."
