Someone just turned me on to this guy....I know im probably late on this, whats new.. Anyway i must say he is pretty damn good.
and the song dance with the devil is freaking sick, in a good and bad way. (y)

I was listening to him on my lunch break (for some reason) and I swear I was just about to start a thread about how much I don't like him.

Anyway, sorry you like his music, but I've tried more than once to give him a chance and I still think he's wack as hell. He's not bringing anything new to the table; a lot of his conspiracy theories are redundant. He's got a pretty gay voice, his flow is almost as bad as Cappadonna's, his beats are average at best and he's, well, pretty boring. In theory he should be sick (independent thinking man's rapper refuses to conform to standard corporate music industry protocol, leads rap into new era of higher consciousness), but he's not.

I don't know, I think he's pretty good.

I like his voice.

He's flow's pretty sick and he has some good lines.

Beats? Yeah, they fucking blow. I'll give you that.

However I havent heard enough of his stuff to come to a conclusion. Dance with the devil was the song I first heard and it blew me away. I agree with mickill. He seems to force all his lines to get a punchline across. And of all the people who say he's the shit and what not, the first and/or only song they mention to back up their argument is Dance With the Devil.

Let me ask you this, how would someone not know he was raping his own mom? Even if her face was covered by her shirt. Nevermind how just retarded the whole concept is to begin with. But seriously, was she disguising her voice when she screamed and begged? This song kinda tells me that he's got issues, seriously. It's not shocking and powerful, it's disgusting and idiotic. Sorry if I ruined "the twist" for anyone that hasn't had the displeasure of hearing this great little opus yet.

However I fell its very original and like nothing else (in a good way). Dance with the devil is his best song. Granted it may be pretty disgusting and hard to believe, but the way he takes you through the story lyrically is pretty good in my mind. Now I cant listen to this song over and over like others because, well it would be just wierd. and I think youre right in terms of the dude having issues. Dance with the devil is just one of the songs that you either love it or hate it, and since thats his best song i guess he is the same way.

It's very difficult to distinguish one scream from another; her jaw was broken as well.

The part of the song I never got was why they took the shirt off to shoot her. Why not do it with the shirt on to muffle the gun shot, stop the blood spatter? I guess to prove how hard he was?

But I like the song. It's a good narrative and it actually says something. It's more thought out than 99% of rap songs and more 'real' than most rap narratives.

No offense, man. I know you love L, as do I, but I don't think that storytelling was his forte. The story for The Heist was kinda corny and whatnot.

I think his quasi-narrative approach to Da Enemy was nice, though.
